Top Results September Auctions


Last Friday marked the grand finale of our September Auctions. The auctions amassed over €2.8 million in sales with 81% sold lots and more than 300 telephone bidders. 

 

The star lot of the Old Masters, Nineteenth Century & Early Modern Art Auction, was ‘Grazing cows in a polder landscape’ by Piet Mondriaan, which was the subject of high pre-auction interest, and on the night of the auction fetched an outstanding price of €130,000.

 

The Silver, Jewellery & Watches Hammer Auction achieved a great result of almost €400.000 led by a pair of antique diamond earrings sold for €30.000.

 

Our Asian Art Hammer Auction achieved result of €320.000, with 87% sold lots. Top results include a hongmu pedestal desk sold for €10.000, followed by a purple flambe glazed porcelain vase which sparked a great deal of interest during the viewing days and was eventually hammered for €10.000. Further highlights include this 19th-century Tibetan gilt-bronze figure of Vajrabhara and Vajra Vetali which made €9.500.

 

The Interiors, Decorative Art & Books & Prints Auction achieved an outstanding result of €610.000, with the meuble d’appui by Jacques Adnet which reached a noteworthy hammer price of €45,000.
