During the first half of 2021, Venduehuis The Hague held 21 auctions including one charity auction. With our 12 different art departments including Old Masters, Nineteenth-Century & Early Modern Art, Post-War & Contemporary Art, Indonesian Art, Jewellery & Watches, Silver, Asian Art, European and Asian Porcelain, Antique Furniture & Design, Decorative arts as well as Books & prints, we continue to cater high-quality art and antiques, and provide our customers with a museum-like experience during our viewing days.
The results in the first half of 2021 have been outstanding and represent the strongest half year in the whole history of Venduehuis The Hague. We achieved a new world record with a watercolour by Dutch artist Peter Alma, and our Post-War & Contemporary Art and Arts of the East auctions continue to be very successful sales in our auction house.
We keep expanding our marketing channels, attracting over 55,000 followers across our social-medial platforms and a dedicated 24,000 newsletter subscribers. Our digital presence and further expansion enabled us to cater to online and offline bidders from more than 65 different countries worldwide. Our continuous improvements and customer centric focus made Venduehuis The Hague the most successful auction business in the Netherlands in the recent years.
