Our auction offers both antique and design silver, with pieces ranging from the 17th until the 20th century, from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Denmark, and England.

A few highlights include a beautiful chocolate/coffee pot, dating back to 1764, from the city of Deventer, a capricious modern coffeepot in the shape of a cat by renowned Dutch silversmith Jan van Nouhuys (2000), and a beautiful silver bread basket from Rotterdam.

In-House Hammer auction: 14 December 2022, from 1 PM onwards

Venduehuis The Hague is proud to present our Arts of the East: Asian Ceramics & Works of Art auction on 14 December 2022! The auction consists of two parts: an in-house hammer auction and an online auction.

The hammer auction includes a superb selection of Chinese porcelain from various periods, with wonderful pieces of blue & white, famille rose and famille verte porcelain. Alongside this selection, we present Asian sculptures and paintings, such as a rare early bronze Tibetan ‘Green Tara’ which has been in the same Dutch family since the 1930s when it was collected in Asia.

Various highlights of the auction put dragons in the spotlight, like an exciting large early Guanyin seated on a dragon, the Kangxi mark and period red and green dish and a yellow ground bowl with incised green glazed dragons.

Noteworthy about this auction is that it includes two exceptional collections, namely, a collection blue-white Kangxi porcelain from a Frisian noble family and a collection famille verte porcelain, assembled by a Dutch collector in the 80s and 90s.

With a selection this varied, the auction is sure to please any Asian Art collector. Click here to browse through the online catalogue! You are also welcome to pay us a visit during the viewing days, which will be held from 8 to 11 December 2022 (10 AM – 4 PM).
