On Thursday, June 12, Venduehuis The Hague is organizing a charity auction in support of a statue for the beloved cabaret artist Paul van Vliet. The auction marks the conclusion of a successful crowdfunding campaign, which has already raised over €80,000. More than 2,000 people have donated to honor Paul in the street where he lived and worked.
The auction items have now been revealed and promise a unique evening filled with local history, theatre love, and personal memories. A selection:

The Toon Hermans Award (awarded to Paul in 2012)
A portrait photo and large image of Paul, provided by UNICEF
The original sketch of the statue by sculptor Loek Bos (no. 2)
Two gold records awarded for One Man Show Noord West, November 1973
An iconic photo of Paul with Audrey Hepburn
2 x 2 tickets for Harrie Jekkers’ performance at the Koninklijke Schouwburg
2 tickets for Jochem Myjer at Nieuwe Luxor, including a meet & greet
2 tickets for the play Liefdesbrieven starring Anne-Wil Blankers, including two framed letters exchanged between her and Paul
A small bronze sculpture of Paul (30 cm), created under the guidance of Kees Verkade and donated by an enthusiastic fan
The auction will be led by auctioneer Andrew Mattijssen. Fellow cabaret artist Sjaak Bral will provide personal commentary and stories to accompany the items. After the auction, guests are welcome to enjoy a drink and visit the preview rooms of the upcoming Summer Auctions.

In your message, please include your name, phone number, and the number of people attending. You will receive a confirmation email, which also serves as your admission ticket.
