A Late Gothic polychrome limewood figure of St. Anthony Abbot
Wearing a mantle and habit, the right hand raised in benediction, in his left hand a staff with a drape and bell and standing within a ring of flames, his attribute the hog at his feet and with a flattened back. The unusual iconographic element of the ring of flames alludes to the story that the vision of the flames of hell killed the desires of the flesh in St. Anthony.
Eastern France, circa 1500.

A Late Gothic polychrome limewood figure of a pope
Probably representing St Gregory the Great, standing and wearing a papal crown, a draped mantle with deeply undercut folds and a tunic and holding a book, the back hollowed.
Swabian, first quarter 16th century.

The base of later date, partially original polychrome, right hand missing.
A 'Bois de Spa' jewellery box
A rectangular box with a curved lid and with mother of pearl and brass inlay of flower, birds, insects and a central roundel with a castle in a landscape. the interior painted red.
Some cracks in the lid, overall in quite good condition.
Two round paper-maché snuff boxes
The covers painted with romantic scenes of 'Chateau de Neuwindstein' and 'Schloss Peterwitz', the latter with text: "Schloss Peterwitz in Schlesien bei Hernstadt dem Rittmeister Hoffmann gehorend. Als Andenken einem Freunde gewitmet. 1807." (2)
